I had a nice hand-painted textile in my stash that I had painted some time ago. I got the idea to do a series of three art quilts using the same materials and background but having the heart image in different positions. So, the first one is a happy heart surrounded by happy thoughts and colors. I used matting that I knotted into a braid which I wound around the leather heart image. I had some glass beads on a string which I wound around the image. Green fiber pieces complete this mixed media art quilt. There are 3 wall hangings in this series that belong together. They depict a love affair which ended sadly.
