MessageCollection: Portfolio
My portfolio showcases the diverse techniques and materials I use in my artwork. Whether working in the studio or outdoors, all my paintings stem from direct visual observation. I work with traditional watercolors on cotton rag paper, as well as on wood, aluminum, and clayboard. For some pieces, I incorporate watercolor grounds or textured materials to create underpaintings. Many of my watercolors are mounted and sealed with fixative and wax, allowing them to be framed without glass. I also work with Cobra water-mixable oils on clayboard, copper panels, and oil paper—these oils are particularly well-suited for outdoor painting during Maine winters.
