"When the Light Shines Through"is a story with many layers. It has another painting below it with some unresolved issues. When I decided to abandon my preconceived ideas about what that painting should be something magical happened! I added a piece of white linen from some curtains I'd made years ago and some mono prints on different kinds of paper. What brought it all together
was taking a calculated risk that would either make the painting glow or send it to the dumpster. I rubbed the whole painting with diluted India ink and then quickly rubbed it off. You have to grit your teeth and hold your breath while doing this but it paid off! The painting tells its own story. Maybe it's your story.
