"Hip Hop Queen" was my first painting with a background of mono prints. It's a little like a Rorchach ink blot test. I've dribbled paint onto a large sheet of deli paper then fold it in half and move the paint around by rubbing the back of the paper. Then unfold the paper and place it onto my canvas and rub the back. After the paper if pulled off I look for the interesting things that have happened. The result is that you can look at this painting every day and always see something new in the background. It's a great conversation piece because everyone sees different things! It's still one of my favorite paintings! Hip Hop Queen is happily on my den wall but you can have the next best thing.
