David Heatwole
Music of the Flowering of a Dream by David Heatwole Image: This is a blend of many techniques and approaches for Heatwole, utilizing the styles created under the alias D.J. Priest. This piece was inspired by the Heatwole family's incredible journey in 2015 to California, then New Mexico, and Arizona where they saw the Grand Canyon. The design for the 2000 landscape project "The Flowering of a Dream" is depicted in this piece. It was a maze-like flower-shaped art gallery that showcased paintings made by high school students who collaborated with primary school pupils to create symbolic works of art. Heatwole also hints at his first creative community collaboration in this piece with the fish jumping out of the water.
