This painting is from Heatwole's Molecules of Faith series, the umbrella depicting Van Gogh's "Starry Night". The majority of the artwork in this series featured Van Gogh's painting in the background in grayscale, with Heawole's Starry Night umbrella serving as a main point of interest with the rest of the painting being in full color as well. This particular painting was intended to be a study for a larger work, but because the artist has yet to complete one, the study might be the finished product. The Heatwole family is depicted in this little artwork floating on the water beneath an upside-down umbrella. Jesus Christ and the artist's first community collaboration—a gigantic fish that required aerial photography—are represented by the fish being looked at by the single child.
