My monochrome "ROUGH" series focuses on the paint itself; its texture, the nuances of a single color, and bold brushwork.

Working on these paintings has been a deeply engaging process, evoking an earlier phase in my practice when I often painted in black, grey, and brown, combined only with white and rich textures. Back then, I used ash or collage materials to build those surfaces; in this new series, however, the texture emerges purely from the paint itself.
