A story of rediscovery and transformation... During my studio move in December 2024, I had to remove the unfinished canvas from its stretcher frame because it was simply too big for the van. I completely forgot about it, until I found it again in my canvas stash in April 2025 and decided to re-stretch it (though in another format, the original stretcher bars were already occupied).
The longer I looked at it, the more I liked it the way it was. In the end, I decided to not do major changes. Instead, I worked to calm it down and highlighted some existing contrasts.
The finished work is now calm and gentle but still a real eye-catcher. As if seen through a thin veil, one can still see the powerful marks from the beginning, a little mysterious, quietly whispering.
For this format I have a float frame (aluminum, brushed silver) in store. It could ship with the unstretched work. Let me know if you're interested!
