7 Mile Miracle in the Summer by Daniel Russo Image: During the summer on the North Shore, the sand resets as the tradewinds shift it from north to west, following the winter swells that move it from west to north. This photograph, taken from a Robinson R22 helicopter at about 200 feet above Three Tables, captures that transformation. I used a Nikon 500mm lens and Nikon D3 camera to take this shot. This image always brings me a sense of calm and reminds me of childhood summers spent playing on the beach in solitude.
