This work was done as a study for a promotional poster for a dinosaur exhibit at the Witte Museum in San Antonio. While another of Dan's paintings were used in the final poster, the original painting shown here was in many ways a much better work in it's own right and subsequent poster size prints remain an always favorite with children.

Dan's fascination with Dinosaurs dates back to his childhood as well. Besides doing the museum's poster for the exhibit he also was tasked with creating the murals of several species for the exhibit itself.

In even more recent times he's the artist who on an ongoing basis puts the color and skin on the lifesized fiberglass dinosaur sculptures at Bastrop's Dinosaur theme park. As such Dan is THE Defacto Dinosaur Artist if not in the nation, surely in the great state of Texas.
