"Grand Oak" Pastel on Paper took First Place in the San Marcos Art Leaque's National Art Exhibition juried by San Antonio's McNay Museum of Art's director/curator at the time in 1984. The work also won the Aquarena Springs Purchase Award. As Aquarena Springs was acquired by then Southwest Texas State University as a protected, aquifer research property, the work is believed to be in the collection of Texas State University.
