City Hall Gallery: Bloodlines

“Bloodlines: A Personal Journey Through Art, Memory and Heritage” traces untold stories and memories of the descendants of the Freedmen of the Choctaw and Chickasaw Nations and “Black Indians.” As a descendant of this complex history, Yvonne Stubbs weaves together the voices of her African American, Choctaw and Chickasaw ancestors and a family's legacy through storytelling and a body of artworks that span a spectrum of mediums, including ceramics, paintings, collage, fiber art and mixed media.
