Born in 1990, Yuruhary Gallardo is a Venezuelan visual artist, editor, and researcher. She has a bachelor's degree in arts (Universidad Central de Venezuela), a master's degree in Latin American Philosophy (Universidad Cecilio Acosta). She is currently pursuing her Ph.D in Spanish at the University of Oregon. Her plastic work deals with childish forms, games, and ghosts. The innocent observer of nature, darkness, and shapeless figures, enchanting specters, she presents a new opportunity to imagine otherness as beauty.
