Tallmadge Doyle was born and raised in New York City. She attended the Cleveland Art Institute for undergraduate BFA studies. She relocated to Eugene, Oregon to attend the MFA program at the University of Oregon where she studied traditional printmaking mediums, drawing, and painting. Her work has been exhibited in over 200 exhibitions throughout the United States and internationally and her work is represented in over 30 public collections in the US and abroad. Tallmadge has participated in several artist residencies in remote areas of North America including KIRA in New Brunswick, Canada, Ucross, Sitka Center for Art and Ecology. She enjoys being an active member within artist run organizations such as Eugene Printmakers, Print Arts Northwest (based in Portland), Southern Graphics Council International, Seattle Print Arts, Los Angeles Printmaking Society.
