Originally from Latvia, Agnese Cebere grew up in Sweden and earned her BA in Intermedia Art at Edinburgh College of Art, Scotland. She graduated with an MA in Media Studies from The New School in New York in 2018, where her research focused on embodiment and technology as they converge in screendance. She is now based in Eugene, Oregon, where she was the Program Director at Eugene Contemporary Art from 20190–2022. She graduated with an MFA in Art from the University of Oregon in 2022, where she is now an art instructor. Her work has been included in screenings and exhibitions at Carnation Contemporary (Portland, OR), Otion Front Studio (Brooklyn, NY), Wassaic Project (Wassaic, NY) and online in Dismal Sessions 001–021 by Most Dismal Swamp, presented by Silicon Valet and New Art City. Her art and writing have been published in Flat Journal, Cosmic Bulletin by the Institute of the Cosmos, and elsewhere. Agnese Cebere was a 2022-23 CFAR Project Incubator. Fellow at the Phil and Penny Knight Campus for Accelerating Scientific Impact at the University of Oregon.
