“Laminar Collapse” presents a flowing sequence of layered crimson, violet, and cobalt bands that move across the canvas like ordered currents traveling through a confined channel. The left side of the composition shows smooth, parallel flow lines that gradually distort and destabilize as they move across the surface.
As the movement reaches the center and right side of the painting, the ordered structure breaks down into turbulence. Pale currents and scattered droplets disrupt the layered bands, while a small vortex-like formation emerges near the edge of the canvas. Created as a one-of-one work within the Creatively Cutz studio practice, the piece captures the moment when stable motion gives way to instability.
