I’ve been using a wooden artist model lately, as an anonymous way to express my feelings, and even more important, the inclusion of everyone, using art to express the entire community. And I positioned the mannikin’s foot to visually show the movement of moving forward, often pushing the boundaries for progress and advancement. How to express it visually, against a background of poured paint, it feels like a personal statement of finally painting outside the lines that have always kept me ‘safe’. I hope to inspire us to live our highest version of ourselves, to live with A Foot Forward.
