Arpillera Americanx * Cunt Quilt (Melt) was collaboratively created during a virtual Stitch n Bitch arpillera salon for environmental justice by national feminists during a conversation lead by Sierra Club president Ramon Cruz & ¡Solar Libre! field manager Paola Pagan, moderated by artist Coralina Rodriguez Meyer & brand director Kevin Kedroe

Annticipating the 2020 US election, after the US withdrew from Unesco in 2017 participants examine environmental pulses including forest fires, increased storm frequencies, and energy independence struggles; climate justice is central to the survival of our intersectional community. Arpilleristas democratically created a crowd sourced image to address questions on Climate Crisis & Denial, Environmental Justice and Energy Independence with Latinx leaders, environmental advocates and feminists online nationwide. Based on the image generated from the discussion during quarantine, artist Coralina Rodriguez Meyer sewed worn out women's underwear donated through the US postal service via a National Underwear audit onto a Qeen sized bedsheet. The arpillera became a Sanctuary City protest flag for the climate justice movement.
