Diana Maria Rossi has been making mosaics since 1989 and her mosaic work runs the gamut from 2-D (raised plane) to sculpture. Before teaching herself to make mosaics, Diana studied printmaking at the San Francisco Art Institute where she received her BFA in 1985. Previous to attending the Art Institute, she half-heartedly pursued a range of academic subjects at various places before she serendipitously tried art making at Mt. San Antonio Community College in Walnut, California and was hooked on “making stuff” for life.
Her work has been exhibited internationally and has been included in several publications, among them The Art of Mosaic Design by JoAnn Loctov / Leslie Plummer Clagett and Mosaic Techniques and Traditions: Projects and Designs from Around the World by Sonia King.
