The Yellagonga Community Mural, guided by local artist Mike Bamford, is seven metres long and depicts a scene from Neil Hawkins Park in Joondalup to the eastern shoreline of Lake Joondalup in Wanneroo that features local trees, plants and wildlife.

The Yellagonga Community Mural was created as part of The Artful Gene Project, a joint international exhibition of artworks by Alfred John Bamford (1849 to 1929) and his great-grandson Michael John Bamford (b. 1959).

The Artful Gene project was formed and exhibited at Joondalup Art Gallery in November 2015 and Wanneroo Gallery in January 2016. The mural was permanently installed at the Woodvale Library.
