Placing together fragments of familiar and playful forms, artists Pia Bennett and Joshua Fitzpatrick construct a narrative in ‘The horse and the porcelain boy’ that speaks of magnificent and apocalyptic imaginings.

In collaboration, the artists take turn to work the canvas, generating both mythical and wondrous associations. Purpled languid and dazed bodies penetrate and disappear inside one another, creating constellations of disjointed and bestial elements. The scattered composition hints at the process of remembering, reminding us that memory is often elusive.
