MessageMy son is a pilot and I had the inspiration to start the ‘View from Above’ series when I went flying with him. The view from the air was so interesting and almost abstract. The style I choose to paint this series in is influenced by a trip I took to see work by the famous glass artist Dale Chihuly. Specifically by his Macchia with their smooth almost glowing surfaces, mottled colors and contrasting lip wrap.
