I was inspired by the simplistic beauty of white to create this all white piece using encaustic medium (beeswax, damar resin, & pigment). As the light falls on this piece it creates interesting shadows between the textures and smooth areas. I employ my signature method of applying minute droplets of encaustic, one by one, to the surface of the painting, creating a tactile quality that is engaging when viewed in person.
