This striking poster created by "Ramon" (pseudonym of the for the Spanish artist Rafael Raga Montesino) for the 1949 Italian film and distributed in Spain by the Filmófono company, features graphics in an Art Deco style, with a Christian martyr being struck down by a lion. In the background are the main characters, Fabiola (Michele Morgan) and Rhual (Henri Vidal), portrayed as Roman statues – or, perhaps as religious statues in a church, thereby foretelling their sainthood (imaginary in the case of the fictional character, Rhual, actual in the case of the real historical figure Saint Fabiola).
