Located on Green Lake in Seattle, based on an image from one of my stand-up paddleboard outings. A dock is a little safe oasis in the water, a place to perch and see the world from a different perspective, soak in the sun (which in this case was just starting to burn through the fog). Docks are hard-edged structures, contrasting in their geometry with the surrounding soft, organic shapes in the landscape. They hint at human presence, the life of summer days past and future.
