Fabulistic

Animals are my favorite people, I like having them in my stories

Hard work and wealth

A look at the correlation between the two, and the stories we tell about them.

It all collapses

Started during the early days of COVID lockdown, this series is about natural disasters and the fragility of our ways of life.

Onward, onward, ever onward

Trains and boats and other ways we move across the earth, although not always successfully.

Other people's memories

Paintings based off of the photos of strangers. A look at the commonality of being a person.

Scope of the land

The landscape of the Eastern United States, and occasionally elsewhere

Sticks and stones

Work made in Idaho, where the sticks and stones run wild

Storytime

Bits and bobs

Swamp songs

Paintings of the swamps of South Louisiana

The good doctors

Men in suits. Just a reminder that all of the world's worst atrocities of the last hundred years were done by men in suits

The last hundred years and other ghost stories

Paintings from a show of the same name at the Acadiana Center for the Arts (Lafayette, LA) in 2018. They're a way of looking at what the end of civilization might look like, given the possibility that we could now be in the last hundred years of it. Based on images from the last hundred years, places and times when it all fell apart by our own hand.

The past, the future, etc.

Paintings based on sculptures as a way of thinking about how we carry the past into the present.

Where the spirit moves

All places are haunted to some degree, but some more so than others
