I absolutely love listening to the acoustic guitar being played live. It seems to create an intimate space where you can just get completely immersed in the music. I started this series after going to an open mic night at a small sandwich bar. The musicians are fresh and inspired. I aim to give the viewer a sense of being immersed in the music of a single guitar. I chose to work with inks for their property lends itself well to expressing the flow of sound. By abstracting the work I aim to help ease the viewer into the feel of the piece instead of getting caught up in the details.
