Charlie Hunter is a cheerful guy who paints drippy portraits of decaying American infrastructure in Bellows Falls, Vermont.
MessageThe excellent Oklahoma songwriter Nellie Clay grew up with Herefords on her family's farm. When she moved back to the Sooner State she decided she needed a cow to grace her newly acquired home, and so commissioned a painting, realizing an actual Hereford, no matter how docile (for they are one of the sweetest-tempered breeds, as well as most toothsome), would simply take up too much space in a prairie-style Oklahoma City bungalow. Concurrently, Gallery North Star had invited me to participate in TILL THE COWS COME HOME, so I painted two of this bovine beauty.
