Show Me the Way started as a plein air painting at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, but was completed in my studio. These stately oak trees, along with the smaller scrub in front, flanked a subtle path in the grasses. The Wildflower Center is only a couple of miles from my home in south Austin, and is an inspiration for many of my paintings.
This painting was awarded 2nd place at the Wimberley Valley Art League's recent juried show.
