My elderly friend Billie passed this Summer. She originally was my mother’s friend, but we quickly became friends over games of Rummikub. As she advanced in years, she started to forget people and places, but she always remembered me. Billie filled voids in my life, she was an impish grandmother figure. This painting is titled in her memory and I hope she is in a place similar to what I had created.
