Bright, red lips, jeweled hands and high heeled feet, sprout out of ancient pottery creating a humorous image that is both half women and half vessel.
Blended in my art works are images of modern day women and ancient urns of yesterday. I reference Minoan and Mycenaean myth, where women were worshiped as goddesses who mysteriously produced babies and mother’s milk.
A metaphor for ancient women has now met its modern day version in my art. This present day fashionista sings her way though life as a metaphor for today’s “goddess.”
