This painting is part of a collection for a solo exhibition at the Firehouse Art Center in Longmont, CO. The show is titled "The Reckoning" and speaks to the current collective emotion of fear, anger and perseverance.

This work is titled "Threshold" as it's contained, beautiful chaos. Parts of the work overflow, or erupt from their boundaries, speaking to the possibility of breaking free. Purple is historically the color of royalty, with moments of bright red (anger) and pure white breaking through, there is a lot of color symbolism in this work.
