In Newfoundland's embrace, where fishermen's sheds stand bold,
Colors dance like whispers, tales of seas untold.
Sunlight spills on whiskey's amber glow,
jigs danced on loose floorboards echo,
and tales unfold.
This painting was executed on raw un-stretched cotton duck canvas affixed to my studio wall at Pouch Cove Foundation in Newfoundland. Three fishing huts floating above a lively yet calm ocean with streams of sunlight piping through. A combination of fluid, heavy body and gouache acrylics were employed in achieving a velvet-like and powdery texture on raw canvas.
