This is an abstract painting in my Epiphenomenal Qualia series. It sits in a series of paintings where the objective was to fill up the compositional space of the canvas with as much as possible. It's a heavily layered composition, with a lot of different forms of mark making all vying for your attention, but somehow there is a sense of balance that comes out of this tension.
