This is a painting I made while living in a coop in Cambridge, MA where I was renting an additional bedroom as a studio. I was just getting started taking abstract painting seriously. In this painting I'm playing around with some ideas about landscape, maps, and cartoon illustration. There is some Miró influence in here, and some blobby monsters I playfully refer to as "dirt people."
