"Apocalyptic Flourish" was created during a vacation retreat, surrounded by nature and friends. Drawing inspiration from the gestural intensity of de Kooning’s "Excavation" and Pollock's drip paintings, this piece explores a variety of mark-making techniques. Brush strokes, splatters, and sprays create a dynamic surface, reflecting both the influence of abstract expressionism and the spontaneity of the moment.
