Lots of paint on this piece. Heavy layers of poured paint on top of barely visible watercolor and brushed on shapes and patterns. The colors are pretty brutal, the oranges contrast so much with the blue-greens. Lot's of fluid motion in the poured paint. Lots of gestural brushwork in the background. I don't know that I like this painting, but I'm a little bit intimidated by it.
