The thing about this painting is that it's a lot more complex than you might think at first glance. There is almost every type of mark making here: drawing with fine point marker, watercolor washes, careful brushwork, collage, pallet knife work, and poured paint.
The top layer is the poured paint in tones of grey forming a screen or barrier that you have to find a way to look through to the action underneath. I like some of the cracks that formed in the poured paint, especially in the pool in the horizontal center just below the vertical midpoint where the bright red-pink shows through the grey-black poured paint. The top left suggests storm clouds with rain pouring out. To the far right are serial number tags with QR codes, suggesting participation in systems of automation which is mirrored in the ordered grids of imperfect circles hiding in the background.
