Brandon "BiZY" Botten
Concept 1 by Brandon "BiZY" Botten Image: This piece wrapped up my first half of the year. Shortly after its completion, I left for the summer to once again escape into the Great Canadian North to just take a break from all the noise of the city.
Concept 1 wraps up everything I had done up to that point in 2021, focusing heavily on time and power. It features a working clock in the top right, set to eastern standard time.
Spring was springing at this time, the world around me was waking up. I took to my roof to get some fresh air, and plenty of space to make a big proper mess of flinging paint at this canvas. The piece contains elements of a photo of a young boy looking up at a deity in Cambodia. I reworked it to make it appear as if the child is begging, and the hand of God is dropping Bitcoin into his bowl.
