The Scout--Harris's Hawk

This quilt started with a photograph that I took at the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum of a Harris's Hawk. I used flower and other fabrics to create the hawk in fabric collage. I was inspired by Laura Heine's fabric collage technique, but added my own twist. I just loved the piercing look of the fabulous bird and think his eyes let you know that he's checking you out.
