I made this quilt as part of experimentation with photographic images. The photo of the Fort Union Hospital in the 1860's was printed onto cotton fabric and sheer silk organza. The two images (printed at different scales) were overlaid and made into a quilt to create this ethereal image. This piece was created during our participation in the Artist in Residence program at Fort Union National Monument in October 2016.
