Sonoran Green Toad by Bill Meek and Denny Peterson Image: The small Sonoran Green Toads live in wetlands in south central Arizona and west central Sonora. They are nocturnal and found in mesquite grasslands and creosote flatlands. They are active during the monsoons. While they are not on any list of threatened or endangered species, they are losing habit when farm fields are lost to other purposes.
