Kristie Cornell is a self-taught photographer living and working in Lafayette, Louisiana. Trained as a geologist, she walks the line between the scientific and artistic worlds. Her work explores her relationship to the natural and cultural landscapes of her native Louisiana and the American South, as well as connections made to the places she explores while traveling.

Kristie’s photographs have been published in several books, magazines, and as album artwork, and her work has been shown at The Acadiana Center for the Arts, Basin Arts, and Glide Studios in Lafayette, LA; The Saint Landry Parish Visitor Center in Opelousas, LA; The Ephemeral Gallery in Baton Rouge, LA; and The Ogden
Museum of Southern Art, and the New Orleans Photo Alliance in New Orleans, LA.
