I have been actively painting since 2018. Retirement has given me the time to learn and develop my craft. I primarily work with Acrylics but have used mixed media throughout most of my art pieces such as added textures, foils, stones and resin.
I am from Lafayette, Louisiana and consider it to be my home. I studied Interior Design from Northwestern State University and had several classes in drawing. Since retirement, I have taken local Art Classes, watched and studied many video classes, read Art Books and have also viewed Art Exhibits every chance I get in order to learn different techniques and styles of Acrylic Abstract Art. I would consider myself to be self-taught.
I am presently “obsessed” with a form of Abstract Art called “Acrylic Pouring”. Most of my art pieces are poured paints onto a canvas and manipulated to form a design. I love experimenting with colors and textures.
As I continue to grow and develop as an Artist, I hope to branch out into other styles of Abstract Art painting.
