Artist: Emily Spikes ^x

My name is Emily Spikes. I am a painter, a dog mom, and I’m really bad at math. Though I was always incredibly creative and artistically inclined growing up, it wasn’t until I was studying business in college that I realized exactly how much art meant to me; to be able to find such energy and inspiration in something like a painting allowed me to escape the mundane, left-brained tasks of a business curriculum. For me, the past few years have been about balancing being an artist and being a businesswoman, and trying my best to see how those worlds can work in harmony. It is for this reason that my paintings are intentionally bright, youthful, and energetic.
