Donna Davis currently resides in New Iberia. She attended the University of Louisiana and continued her education in Pocono Lake, Pennsylvania. She began drawing at a young age and experimented with pencil, charcoal, pen and ink, and pastels, finding her love for watercolor later in her career.

Watercolor is my center and heart. I love what a simple drop of water does to the page and how water, such an essential part of Louisiana culture, adds to the images of wildlife and nature we are rich in. My work continues to evolve with mixed media traditions, and is central to my work with cultural motifs and nature subjects. I am a life-long artist, a studier of artists and art; I am grateful for the process of the canvas and color. Through reading and experimentation, she has created her own technique and recognizable style.
