Louisiana native, Denise Gallagher is an author and illustrator for children. Her picture books include “A Tip Tap Tale” and “Moonsong.” Denise has also illustrated folktales from both Louisiana and Canada. She is the Illustrator Coordinator for the Louisiana/Mississippi Region of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators and is also a part of the Teaching Artist Program at the Acadiana Center for the Arts in Lafayette, LA. Her art been featured in national magazines and has been exhibited in New York, Portland, Indianapolis and throughout Louisiana. Denise loves folklore, music and nature and draws inspiration from the magic of her lush, green Louisiana home.
