Callie Istre is an artist born and raised in Lafayette, LA. She did art as a little kid and kept at it until she went to LSU. At LSU, Callie received a B.S. in psychology and a minor in painting and drawing. Studying abroad in Ireland for art solidified Callie’s love for art and pushed her to become a professional artist. Callie uses several different medium types, including oil and acrylic, but she has started to delve into sculptural work with wood. She enjoys using themes in her art that require a lot of research, and incorporates a lot of hidden details into her art.
