Shamel Pitts is an American artist, choreographer, performer and teacher. He is the Founder and artistic director at TRIBE which is a New York-based multidisciplinary arts collective. I used the photo in the NYT's of him standing with a big flower on his jacket. It was for a Doris Duke Artist Awards for 2024. I loved the pose.
