This piece is inspired by a day spent painting Plein Air along Driftwood Beach, Jekyll, Georgia. The next strong storm may soon sweep away this tree into it's next reincarnation, but for the moment, it stands defiant against the sea and sky. It is done entirely in soft pastels on sanded velvet paper. This piece is in a private collection.
